What is Fused Glass?

Fusing is a technique of joining pieces of glass together on a flat surface by heating them up in a kiln. Different processes require different temperatures and times in the kiln such as fully fusing the glass to get smooth rounded edges, fusing less for a chunky look or slumping the glass in or over a mold to create dishes and vases. There are many additional options such as adding in designs with fusible paper or decals, painting on glass and more!

How do I Care for sterling silver or silver plated jewelry?

Air is what tarnishes silver or silver plating.  For best results, keep you pieces in an airtight bag such as a zip lock as well as not keeping it in the bathroom where it is exposed to moisture, will help to slow down the tarnishing process.

What if my silver gets tarnished?

Here is a tip!  Line a pan or bowl with Aluminum Foil with shiny side up. Put jewelry in the pan making sure to move it around as needed to all parts of the jewelry are touching the foil at some point.  Pour a mixture of 1 Tablespoon of baking soda  and 1 tsp of salt into 2 cups of boiling. Pour the mixture over the jewelry.  Watch the bubbles form! Let it sit for about 10 minutes. When reaction has slowed take out the jewelry and rise if off! Voila! There are lots of YouTube videos on this topic.

Are the dishes food safe?

Yes!  All of our glass is safe for food.

Can I put the dishes in the dishwasher?

Technically, yes since your dishwasher does not get as hot as the kiln did to fuse the glass. However, I don't recommend it. Over time, you will likely get some haziness on the glass similar to what often happens with glasses in your dishwasher.
